C.A. Reding Company 35 Year Anniversary!

Thirty five years ago on February 1, 1983 Chuck and Donna Reding moved to Fresno, CA and started C. A. Reding Company. Chuck had spent 25 years in the copier business with 3M Company before being given the chance to “be his own boss”.

Things were a lot different in 1983.  Most of the copiers had moving tops.  Many still used special treated paper that came on a roll.

Printers were dot matrix. Scanning and faxing didn’t exist. PC’s were brand new while networks were almost science fiction.

The technology has certainly changed.  Today, you have Multifunction devices with scan, print and fax capabilities along with software that can securely manage and store digital documents.  Softwares that manage, track copies/prints/scans and ocr. Over the years we also added Wide Format devices, Intelligent Whiteboards and Video Communication systems.

Our size has changed.

We’ve gone from 8 employees at the Fresno office to 50 employees with locations in Bakersfield, Fresno, Modesto and Stockton.

What hasn’t changed is our deep appreciation for our hard working employees and our loyal customers.  20% of our employees have been with us for over 25 years and most of our customers have been with us for multiple generations of office equipment.

The last 35 years have been a blessing and we look forward with great optimism to the next 35!

This year we participated in some exciting new charity events and continued our long-time support of many other wonderful causes.

We managed to gather some teams for both the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and The Run for Meals supporting Poverello House. It’s always fun to work as a team to raise both awareness and funds for vital organizations.  (And it never hurts to get a little exercise either.)

We continued our support of the Community Food Bank, sponsoring both the Empty Bowls event and The Gala held in October to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. Congratulations to them! We are so fortunate to have Community Food Bank providing food for those in need throughout the Central Valley. We are looking forward to helping them continue the fight to end hunger in our local communities.

C.A. Reding was also a sponsor for the Central Valley Go Red for Women event in March of 2017. This is an important event that serves to help raise awareness of heart disease in women and the warning signs of heart attacks and strokes.  We will be a proud sponsor again in 2018!

Terry’s House in downtown Fresno is a place dear to us. They provide housing for family members with loved ones in the trauma or NICU at Community Hospital. We really enjoyed making holiday care packages for each room in the house.

Our employees really stepped up and donated lots of household items on the wish list. We capped off December by providing and serving dinner at Terry’s House and will look forward to cooking up more meals in the coming months.

All in all, 2017 has been an inspiring year! Life in the Central Valley would not be the same without loving hands and hearts that further all these terrific causes.

C.A. Reding is proud to be a sponsor of just a few of these events and activities. We believe we are blessed to be able to participate.

Customer Satisfaction is something all companies talk about but not all take it seriously.

We  measure Customer Satisfaction with an NPS survey that goes out to all of our customers who place service call.

Our NPS score has ranked in the 90 percentile constantly for the past five years. To put things in perspective, brands like Costco consistently score in the 90’s.

We take customer satisfaction very seriously
at C.  A. Reding by continually educating and training

Could it Be?

We think they could be long lost siblings. After you read this incredible story, could it be?

Enter Kimi Smallen and Andy Arballo. Kimi is our office manager and Andy, warehouse logistics manager.

Not only did Andy & Kimi hit 20 years of employment in February, they BOTH started working here at the age of 23, on the same start DATE, 5 years apart!

So we have to ask, could it be?

Congratulations for hitting 20 years of employment with C.A. Reding Company!
